Wanting to meet other bloggers in Kansas City, get offline, and have some fun? Then you've come to the right place. It's easy to become a member of the KC Blogger Meetup. Just e-mail the following information to [email protected]
- Your blog link (an active URL link please)
- A description of your blog. When did you start blogging and why? How long have you been blogging? What is your blog all about? What are you all about? Keep this description to about a paragraph.
- Your social media links: Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, etc. (please make sure to include active/correct URLs, we will not take the time to look them all up individually)
- A blog banner image, and a photo of yourself (both need to be at least 500 pixels in width, 72 resolution)
Acceptance of bloggers into the group is at our discretion. We do not accept bloggers as members who work for companies. However we will work with brands as sponsors. If you are a company looking to collaborate please feel free to e-mail us at [email protected] with the subject line "Sponsorship". Also take the time to check out the other members of the group and make sure that the KC Blogger Meetup is a good fit for you, and your goals as a blogger.
Once we have all your correct information we'll consider you for membership to the group. Upon acceptance you will be added to our e-mail list and your profile will be posted to the blog. Terms of Membership
- All members of the group must be active bloggers. This means you must have at least one new post a month. We will keep our membership list updated, and anyone who does not have an active blog will be removed from the meetup group. You can always re-apply later if you decide to start blogging again.
- As bloggers we of course love social media, and using it to promote and share fabulous content created by our members. If you are an active participant in social media conversations with KC Blogger Meetup (retweeting, answering questions, or interacting at least once a week), we will be more than happy to share your work with our social media followers.
- The Facebook group is for sharing events, and resources that are mutually beneficial to everyone. It is not for self promotion, or getting more clicks for your sponsored posts. Any posts that are self promotional will be removed. Repeated abuse of membership to the Facebook group will result in removal.
- In addition to having an active blog, we ask that our group members attend at least one official meetup a year. Workshops, and other in between events do not count toward your attendance. Also we ask that you please be respectful when your RSVP, and don't do so if you don't plan to actually attend an event. If you RSVP and are then unable to attend, just let us know a few days in advance. We, as well as our sponsors count on these RSVP's to ensure the success of our events.
